Anxiety that this famous ivory Lega figurine with cowries for eyes and stylized skull cap may have been restored was dispelled by the scan. It proved to be in excellent condition from its elongated neck to its tiny four-legged stool. Owned by the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren.
