Even if the CT scan highlighted that this statue has been originally carved from a vertical log, several missing parts have been replaced with pieces of less dense timber, carved and glued in place on the headdress, arms, penis, right leg and left foot (see the red areas on the opaque 3D views below).

 

Although a degree of restoration is acceptable, inventing the position of the arms detracts from the authenticity of the piece and its value for a collector.
